You'll rip through your gears faster.
It's a balance, the question is with shorter gears you car accelerates faster, but if it places you in weird spots in your power band it can actually make you slower.
For instance younew shorter gears put you at higher rpms in every gear on ****s, yet your H23 torque peak is much lower...you're not getting full power. However I think an H22a tranny would likely help you.
Right now here is where you end up in each shift assuming a 6500 redline?
Shift points on an H23 with these trannies
-------M2S4--M2F4
1-2 - 3650 - 3833
2-3 - 4620 - 4533
3-4 - 5092 - 5119
4-5 - 5104 - 5280
Top Speed on an H23 with these trannies.
----M2S4-M2F4
1 --- 33 -- 33
2 --- 58 -- 56
3 --- 82 -- 80
4 -- 105 -- 101
5 -- 133 -- 124
Basically from my perspective it looks like you will be faster, becuase in 1-2 you're at 3800 instead which is good because that is right where the H23 torque jumps up rather than being lower. In 2-3 shift you are actually LOWER in the revs than an H23 tranny which is also good becuase you have all that torque you should want to be a little lower to use it. From 3-4 is pretty much the same.
So my overall assessment is your car will pull much harder in 2nd and 3rd. It's likea type-r tranny for the H23 lol
