Unless they have multiple models they are selling it won't fit all the models they listed.

that's not a cat, it will not pass emissions. all that is, is a resonated straight pipe with a nice shiny SS finish. some like to call that a race cat, when in fact it is not a catalytic converter.

a carsound is not much more than that, like $20-30,don't cheap for that small of a difference.

I bought a carsound cat from www.testpipes.com for $100 shipped.

It passed smog about 4 months later, but just barely.

With a cheap cat(less than $300) it will last less then a year. Precious, heavy metals are expensive and OEM cats have to last 10yrs or 100k miles. There is a reason they cost like $900

interesting, but CA is very strict too. i don't have emissions so the carsound is fine for me. it's better than no cat.

What do you think about Random tech cats then...as they are about $300...do you think they will last a long time...lets say at least 5 years passing emmisions?

That solves that problem...thanks for the feedback man! I'd rather go with a random tech that will last that long then keep on replacing a carsound or any other...even though it's gonna cost me!

random cats don't flow as well as carsound, so i was told by a person who works for magnaflow, a carsound owned company.

also, if your carsound cat could barely pass emissions after 4 months i would wonder what is wrong with my car before blaming the cat. there is a warrantee on the cat too just incase it was defective. i have my warranttee card at home, i'll read it to see if that is covered.

ya even if it does flow a tad bit better, if the random tech will last me 5 years or more...and the carsound will only last a year or two passing emmisions...then i'll stick with the random tech...

the carsound can't possible flow that much more then the random tech...so i'll stick with the random...

unless anyone gives me some actual dyno chart proof of the carsound kicking ass over the random tech in terms of flow, not by just a tiny bit...then i'm going random tech!

no, i believe those powercore cats sold by landspeed racing are carsound though.

anyways i have also heard of random cats being junk too. the honeycomb inside has a tendency to come loose and rattle around.

I think any cat will break and rattle around if you hit it hard enough...you were probably talkin to someone that drives the **** out of his car and bottoms out alot!
