well its been 4 months and Ive already managed to wreck 2 4th gens...one not being my fault (see sig...semi ran me off the road) and just tonight I managed to rear end a guy...
Well on my way home from best buy, the car in front of me came to a sudden stop and I hit my brake..now for the irony...today I made an appointment with my mechanic to have my front brakes and rotors changed tommarow...my pads are pretty worn and the rotors are warped....so what happens when I hit my brakes? brakes dont catch and wam I hit the guy in front of me....I scratched his bumper some...I forget what he was driving some car...but my hoods smashed radiators busted...front bumper is cracked..headlights are busted...and thats all i could see...so right now Im pretty pissed off....AHHHHHHHHHHH oh and I got cited....
Well first off, i'm glad to hear that you weren't hurt. Sorry for your rotten luck with the prelude. But it shouldn't drive you away from the car, if you really love it, stick with it. But that's up to you.

Oh I love my car....and if its not totaled it will def get fixed...if its totaled there is a good chance I may get kicked off my parent insurance....so my own insurance would be about 250-300 a month which I probably wont be able to afford....so i may get a nice 3rd gen =/
no really Im not a bad driver =/ like the first time I wrecked my lude it was either swerve off the road or be crushed by a semi...this one my brakes where just bad and the road was a lil wet...my friends think im a pretty good driver with my lude... heh

no offence but your track record is not showing it j/k
I've been driving my lude ever since I bought it in Feb of '92. There has been no major accident. I got bumped from behind couple of times. There was no significant damage on the bumper except small nicks and scratches, so I never bothered to fix.
One thing I make sure is that keeping my lude in good condition as much as possible. If I were you, I would have fixed the brake much sooner. It's too little too late but a lesson to learn.

I was just joking about the Tempo man. I'm on my second prelude now, I wrecked my first baby, the bad ass 3rd gen. I've had my 4th gen for 2 yrs now, and I've had a couple close calls, but never have made contact with anything. For the record, even though you blame your wreck on your brakes, you should've taken that into consideration and allowed more space between the car you were following. Not complaining, just constructively criticizing. Good luck with everything though and be sure to let us know how everything works out.

i got some spare headlights if that helps any. OEM factory headlights for $65 a pair (includes Hiper bulbs) or JDM's for $120. (not including shipping) The OEM have some road wear which is why I'm selling them cheap. The JDM's aren't perfect either, all mounting brackets are intact but on the passenger side the clear is peeling.. the driver side has a crack in the corner of the lense, and got a noticeable scratch as well. One of the mounting brackets broke off but some JB weld holds it mighty well now. Nothing is missing. Let me know.
yeah dude, sorry about the car, $hit happens, roll with the punches and I'll get some more cheezy one liners later for ya. In the mean time, if you needs parts, I also have a set of usdm headlights and corners, basically excellent condition. If your intake plenum and air box was damaged, I have that and the resonator, and that's about all I can think of for now. If you need other honda parts and can't find them, lemme know, I can swing a dealer discount for ya ... desperate times call for desperate measures I guess. Keep your chin up.
