O2 Sensor

Something is hapening to my engine and i dont know what it could be. I think its the O2 sensore but not sure. CCan you guys tell me what hepens to a car when the O2 sensor is bad. By car seam like its boggin out i push on the gas and no go. I thought it was the cat so took the cat off and still the same o thing. I also changed the plugs so it cant be that. So it could be the O2 senor or the injectors, or the engine is about to blow up. One or the other any input would be nice.

If you have a header, the flex pipe may have gone bad, and is blocking the outflow.

If its the O2 sensor, you should be getting a check engine light.

It could also be the ignition. The distributor is a common item to go once the miles get up there. Check the cap and rotor button for cracks and wear.

Then there's the fuel system, could be starving for fuel if there is a blockage, like with an old fuel filter.

have you tries new plugs? That usually helps my bogg. Maby your timing is off. Check that also, ohh and new oil also. There are a lot of things that can bogg it.

i did check the ignition timing and it was the same thing. Every time i changed it to a dif position it was the same bogg. The bog started only when i would accelerate from a stop it would do it for like a half a sec or 1 sec but it would go away after i picked up some speed. But now its a constant thing. Let me also add that i yoused some octane boost like 2 weeks back and then 2 weeks before that. I do remember reading that octane boost can damage your O2 senor that why i was thinking it may be that.

I am doubting its the distributor then. Might want to have a look at your vacuum lines and check for leaks.

WEll, when I had an o2 sensor go bad in my old 86 Accord, it didn't throw a CEL, but it didn't bog all the time from a stop. It would ONLY do it when it was just about warmed up. Once it was all the way up to normal operation temp, it was fine.
