nuespeed strut brace help w/install

Can someone with a 4th gen tell me how they were able to fit the strut brace on the studs. My studs seem to be too short.

It's been a while But I remember having someone sit on my front bumper. The weight compressed the springs/shocks and gave me more stud to work with

I had to use a lil' elbow grease as well to get this to work...nothing ever fits as it's supposed to. I had to dremmel the sh!t out of my seat brackets when I put my SRDs in...not fun.

Thanks for the responses. I got my g/f (fiancee) out there with me this morning and we managed to get it done. She used a spackle to keep the stud from moving while I put every ounce of my 176lb frame to bend the bar into place over the last 2 studs.

*****Girlfriends who are actually into the import scene are the $HIT**** Thank you, Love you baby!:

Not really hard....Just frustrating...It only took about 15-20 minutes. But it isn't a 1 person job just because you will most likely need help getting the final two points in place. Because the studs move on you, it just is a PITA.

I had the same friggen problem...just installed mine this weekend too! just bent one arm a little to get the second half in!

i have to say it's made a huge difference then just having the tein's alone...everyone that has upgraded shocks and springs and are lowered, MUST get one of these...a cheap addition w/great benefit!

I didn't think it would make this much of a diff, i've read that you should get a strut bar last, after all sway bars, but now i don't think that statement is all that true...

if you don't have much cash, and can't afford sway bars yet...definetly go for the strut bar first!

the strut bar made a huge difference and im at stock height...

The studs kept on falling for me too, so I just got my baseball bat and wedged it under them to get them to stay. lol... i had no choice and i really wanted to get it on

what i did with mine was to jack up one side under the jackpoint, just about 1". this was just enough to allow me to muscle it into place. i did it all by myself my arms were pretty sore the next day, and now that i think about it, what i did shouldn't have worked :shrugs:

This is the easiest way.
Since I'm lowered, I could only fit a portion of a broomstick. You can line it up to support the control arm right under each stud and push them up by sitting on the broom (using the tire as the fulcrum).
