Lol, I'm bored ... anyone ever think about whether or not it would be possible to swap a C30A NSX engine into a prelude? I'm imagining it's probably to wide accross, but that'd be awesome if it could work. Of course I don't even want to know how much one goes for used, but nonetheless, this might make for entertaining conversation.
lol, of course not, but I read on some message board I found a link to through searching google where someone said he knew a guy who dropped an NSX engine into his integra, and someone else mentioned he knew a guy with an NSX engine in his CRX.
it's easy! just take a prelude, cut out everything but the body, and build a chassis with the same prelude wheelbase. drop the NSX motor in, put the body on, and you're done!
I also read a post somewhere about some dudes who took a 4th gen lude and dropped a Legend V6 engine in, but had to strip the car of everything but its shell and modify the frame to make it fit.
I've seen the picture of the CRX with the NSX engine, it's a tube frame with the engine in the back. Do a search on the CR-NSX on google, you'll find some stuff about it.
I didn't think a NSX motor is that long. It would probably be hard to get it in because how much wider it is than an I4 but I would say its possible but who would dump all that money into a Prelude.
