Northern Va Swap Shops??

I just started lookin into shops that can do a swap on my 96 lude F22a1---I talked to inlinepro in springfield and they told me, I laugh at this--$2000 for just the laborrrr..... I thought that was redickulous, but i am having trouble finding an import place to do the work. I have one other place in mind, B&B in leesburg, i know a couple people there and they qouted me about 1200 for labor. Any help with this subject would be great.

1996 prelude s f22a1, obd2,--I've been told if i convert this to obd1 that i will not be able to pass inspection "inlinepro" unless they do it?? I'm smellin some bs, am i the only one??

The car is a daily driver, thats my only concern about doing a swap, it needs to run and stay running.

And i am still researching and trying to get as much info as possible, I am new to this but i have been trying to do as much research as possible, trying not to be grilled, more or less just confused and trying to sort alot of different opinions i have heard threw the techs and forums. thank much, mike

oh yeah and inlinepro.com also trashed the 92-95 h22 motors saying they consume to much oil and that that would be a problem?

seriously... get ahold of some good sockets, a good impact driver, and an engine hoist and do the thing yourself. Its so easy its almost a joke $2000 labor for something like that is just insane.

i just completed mine tonight, im across the river in Charles county MD. it really was not that bad, all i used was the info from the FAQ page. i think i have 12 hours tied up in it and it was my first time pulling and engine from a prelude. it could be done in a driveway

The one thing i am having trouble with is that my car is a 96, apparently i read somewhere that it is illegal to put an older model engine in your car??? I'm gonna start another thread for this one, the hardest part to me about this is sifting threw the fine grain of bull****
