Is this normal? Oil question....

I just got an oil change may 25 with 71,441 and now my car has 72,800 miles on it. I was driving today and my friend was in back of me and said when i gunned it and i'm assuming i was in Vtec that smoke was coming out. He said white smoke. Kind of worried me so i checked back to the other posts awhile back on this topic and found some info, but then i checked my oil level and and it is right at the lowest hole on the dipstick. How could i lose all that oil in only alittle over a 1000 miles. Is something wrong? I use this place called "Lube Connection," the invoice shows they fill 4.75 quarts and they use Quaker State Sythentic oil. I remember back like 2 days after the oil change i found some oil stains on the garage floor. But then i never saw it again. It's a 96vtec.

It's probably a leak somewhere, maybe the oil pan gasket. I had to replace mine. It's fairly easy if you know what you're doing. It may be your oil filter, too. There's a couple of things it could be. Just keep checking the oil, and if your having to put in a quart every other day or so, or you still see oil on the driveway, I'd say go and get it checked out. i hope that helps a little!

Was it at the full mark when they did the oil change? They might have just put it between the dots on the dipstick. Then you would have consumed less oil then you think. Buring oil is a bluish grey smoke, if this is what is happening you rings could be bad and you might want to get a compression test.
