NoobWantingAnswers (starting problems)

hi, for some reason my car doesn't start after refueling it. Also if i drive it then park for a few minutes, when i come back it wont start for like 3-5 minutes. It's not that bad but i would appreciate any solutions.

Its a 1992 Prelude S if it matters.

It's your main relay.

It's cheap. You can get it from hparts for around $50 iirc. It's a little relay in the driver side footwell right behind the steering colum.

Before you buy it, you can just pull it out and try to resolder the points if you wanted before you shell out some cash

It's a pretty common issue for our ludes. Just search "main relay" in thread titles and you'll find some juicy threads for you. I think there was one with pictures even.

Depends.
If you know how to solder and have you have the tools it'll cost you a couple of drops of solder which is probably less than a dollar.
If you don't you can replace it yourself it's like $60 from Honda.
If you can't do it yourself then it's $60 from Honda plus labor which I don't know how much that would be.
