Ok guys i need help the VTEC on my h22 doesn't kick in.
Oil level is good, VTEC solenoid clicks when i jump it with a 12v source, cars fully warmed up, and its completely stock/original motor.
I'm sure its in my head but i thought id mention it anyway, in 1st gear theres no VTEC pull nor the sound of the secondaries in the IM opening(motor doesn't sound any louder). In 2nd i feel like I'm feeling a pull but there's no audible difference.
I noticed my VTEC stopped kicking in when i tired a P28 chipped with a H22 basemap in my lude, but even though I'm now back to stock P13 VTEC still doesn't kick in.
Could it be that my secondaries aren't opening? I'm really tired of not having VTEC guys so any and all help is more than appreciated.
I'd try and figure out why your solenoid isn't getting a signal in the first place....all connections are tight between the ECU and solenoid?.........ECU sending signal?

you guys think that maybe the pins on ecu arent making contact with the harness plug?
Yes possibly......

Have you tried switching for a known good ECU, got any friends with ludes?

When I had first completed my vtec swap, I noticed that when I put the new plug on the vtec solenoid one of the pins slide down in the harness and didn't connect properly.
How I fixed it is that I took a pair of needle nose pliers and pulled the pin up nice and high, I never had the problem again - mind you I did get a code 22 or 23 prior to this happening..
