no power to raido/cig lighter...

well i attempted to install the a/f gauge, and run the red wire off the cig wire for an ignition source.
Well I left it there, because I was having a ***** ass time to get it working.

soooo nooooow, I drive to work, and the raido shuts off, and so does my radar detector.

Did I burn a fuse? if so which? because I checked the radio fuse under the hood, and it was ok....i wonder whats wrong?

Charlie Charlie Charlie.

You should change your status to

"Electrical GURU"

Did you check all the fuses by your feet with a FUSE TESTER

Go get a fuse tester dude. They are only a couple of bucks. Use it to check both sides of each of the fuses.

I got that splitter but they didn't have any of the braided line.

if u want an ignition positive why not just put it into one of the electrical tabs in the fuse box in the drivers side footwell

i had this same problem when installing my in dash lcd screen. lost power to my head unit and cig lighter. I know it was one of the fuses down by your feet that i blew but i cant remember which one. But it is definately one down there so just check them all and you should find one that is blown.
