I'm sure this has been beat to death, I searched to no avail...
I've been all over google trying different things.
Here is the history of the car: Its a basket case 93 SI 2.3 5spd, old engine spun a bearing (but was able to drive the car home) so the previous owner put in another 2.3 "that ran in the car it came out of". I was told about the no spark issue, and a quick search netted me the Main Relay, so hoping that was the issue I drug the car home...
Problems: There is no fuel at the rail, no CEL, no spark, fuel pump doesn't prime, engine cranks over just fine.
It does have a broken TPS.
What I have done:
I have replaced the Main Relay with a new one from Honda, and have also tested it. Tests OK, same issues.
Previous owner put on a new cap and rotor.
I have replaced the plug and coil wires.
Tested the main relay harness. Tests OK
There is power to the coil and I get 12v at the post for the coil wire.
seriously man thats crazy im having the same issue but no one knows and no one will write back to me anywhere!!! So my buddy said test to see if you are getting power to the ecu like test the two plugs that connect in your engine bay that run to your ecu and if you get power then there is somethin else wrong let me know what you find
thanks man I will check it out so its a wire that bolts to to be grounded out?? I searched and could not find your thread man trust me im still getting use to it thanks cause most people on here never answer and treat you like dirt so just let me know I hope its that it should be the same on the h22 right cause thats what I put in??
Mine was the ground beside the T-stat housing...Hooked it up and all is well...Just needs a TPS and it'll run just fine...Got some other suspension and steering issues to button up and it'll be on the road...
Does that mean you got it working? Under the dizzy, under the T stat... for the 3" difference, its a small bolt with nothing attached, the ground piece is a flat metal part with a hole in it that comes off of the wiring loom. Let me know if you get it sorted!
