I was driving home last night, and my clutch lost all pressure. It's been losing fluid slowly over the past few months, and i determined it was my master cylinder, or so I think. Changed my master cylinder, and it still won't build pressure. I tried adjusting the arm on the master, but no luck. Where should I start looking for problems? Thanks!
Check the slave cylinder. You sure the master was leaking? Did you have brake fluid on the inside of the car where the plunger sticks through the firewall?
i'm getting ready to go change the slave now, and yea, fluid was coming down inside the car from the plunger. but also should i adjust the plunger rod?
so, i changed the slave, adjusted the plunger rod, and now have pressure. However, my clutch doesn't want to engage now. I know my throwout bearing is bad, but a friend of mine says to use dot 4 instead of dot 3. So, what do we do now?

Dot 3 or 4 won't make a difference in daily driving. If you have confirmed that everything is working from the master to the slave, then you have a problem with your clutch.
