No Clutch Pressure....

i put everything on the tranny back together, then came time to bleed to clutch. i opened the hole to get out anything that was in there, tightened the thingy, went to pump the pedal, but it went to the floor, no going back up or anything, just there. Anyways, there was nothing in the line when i loosed the bleed valve again, so i tightened it up, then pumped it a buncha times, then stuff came out when i loosened it - good, right? I gave up cause there was still no pressure in the line and ate lunch. Now i am here, with my car outside and a date tonight. my question is, if there is fluid getting into the lines, thats good? But since there is absolutely no pedal pressure, thats bad? Do i just keep on pumping and pumping till i get pressure again?

gravity bleed it.. open up the bleeder screw, and keep it open. then just keep the resiviour full, and let the fluid keep going through till there's no more air bubbles coming out from the bleeder screw.

I did it by pushing the slave cylinders "plunger" looking thing back and forth with my hand tons of times.
