Huh?!!! Ask him for his reasoning behind this, then get back with me. I MUST hear this one!

Oh yea, LP has come a long way, but it's still easier to set up a gas-powered engine. The LP switchover requires a lot of specialty equipment to meter and inject; even so, you'll still make more power on gas.

Wanna run 100HP jettings on a stock motor? It can be done, relatively easy. I'm not gonna get on my soap box about N2O setups yet, but I will say it has been done with the H22A and the H23 is also a good candidate. The weak point lies within the stock cast pistons. If the H23 rods are just like H22 rods, they can take it. If you want to spray a 100HP pill, do it wet; direct port or plate. Be sure your fuel system is flowing properly beforehand. Use an aftermarket ignition system and some safety electronics. You WILL want to use a progressive-rate or dual-stage controller, and a timing retard controller is a MUST. Also be sure to get a fuel pressure safety switch, rail pressure gauge, and RPM window switch. Hondas use a fuel cut for the rev limiter; not good when you miss a shift at WOT! Use a high-voltage ignition coil, low-impedance plug wires, and a set of COPPER plugs with a smaller gap (.035) and colder heat range. Let me know if you have any other questions with the setup.

Using what? A wet or dry kit? How is the kit set up? At a 55 pill, you should not have your distributor advanced much at all. Stock timing settings are recommended (~15 degrees BTDC). I'd still get the ignition system, plug wires, copper plugs, WOT switch and fuel pressure safety switch. If you can, mount an electric fuel pressure sender on the rail and put a fuel pressure gauge in the cockpit to monitor while you're spraying. Rail pressure is especially important with a dry kit.

Re: Re: Have you ever heard of

Well the propane thing is a little deep for me but basically my buddy says that the propane is used instead of more fuel. He uses the little Coleman camp fuel bottles that are like $2-3 and he says it lasts for about a 10 pound bottle of NOS. I will get more info soon. This is for direct port only.
