Next mod, suggestions . . .

I have a 93 Si 4WS with i/h/e, pulleys, short shifter, ground control, 17's and some other shiznit. I still want more speed. What do you think my next engine mod should be? I am thinking of cams and gears this summer. So for now what's next? Throttle body? Fuel Rail? Injectors? Ignition? Want to keep my next mod under $300 but who knows?
Oh yah, I don't have access to a dyno here in Alaska.

You may not consider it a performance mod but getting a new clutch might be a good idea. I just got a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch and it made my car much more enjoyable....of course my old one was shot Clutch would be around 300 but install is going to cost you around 200. You shouldnt need injectors, fuel rail, or ignition with the mods you have. If you plan to get a turbo or some other form of forced induction (nitrous ) then it would be a good idea to upgrade those aforementioned items. If you get cam gears you might as well get an air/fuel computer at the same time and slap you car on a dyno with a broadband o2 sensor. An investment in some good gauges would also be a good idea.

Clutch . . .

I was thinking of getting a clutch too. Only thing is if I have the clutch out might as well get a lightened flywheel too so I am going to wait on that for a few months. Any other suggestions?

If you really want more speed get rid of you're 17 in rims get some lightones no bigger than 16in (rota). Take out any stereo stuff amps, subwolfers ect... you cant do much w/ 300. once you do i/h/e you're pretty much maxed out. If you want it faster do FI(not nos).

mod suggestions

I did put my stereo on a diet this winter. I went from 2 JL 10's to one Kicker Solo L7 in a small as* sealed box but I just cant live without the bumps in the trunk. Just makes driving that much more fun. Throttle body sounds fun. Any suggestions on brand, pros cons, 62mm? Thanx for the help all.

P.S. I would love to do turbo but there isn't a mechanic here that would put it on for any reasonable price. No dyno here either

Don't get cam gears unless you are going to dyno tune them. I think one of my best mods was clutch/flywheel. You are running out of "cheap" mods.

Exactly.. how the hell would those mods give him any power? On a 4th-gen H23, completely unnecessary, even if he had cams and a ported head already. The stock fuel system flows pretty damn well and can support all of the boltons.

My answer? Feed it "the hose."

uhhhmmmm wouldn't go that far man... I think you'll need a little more than just a 50 shot of NOS... but thats just my opinion.. . He's gotta be pulling at least 250-270 to the wheels with a Comptech S/C, and you'll be pulling in the ballpark of 210whp give or take a couple horses...
