Newbie suspension question

Damn, my car needs a drop BAD....

alas, i am a poor teenager and I am trying to do this economically, without sacificing quality.

I was thinking of picking up a set of sportline springs for my ride. Would ride quality be that bad if i didnt install shocks at the same time? I will eventually upgrade to better shocks/ sway bars etc as funds allow.

I dont want my lude bouncing like a fat girl on a goddamn trampoline though.

Anyways...let me know, thanks guys

If you want stiff, do not go with Sportlines, I HEAR that they are soft. But this is probably what you want if you're going to be using your stock shocks, as stiffer springs with blow your stock shocks faster.

I have neuspeed sport springs on mine got it for about $130 shipped I believe. And there's a thread in the General board concerning KYB AGX. You can get them for a little over $300. I have this combo, very nice and comfy ride, nice drop as well. I want stiffer though.

I just did an econo lowering job. I got H&R springs. They don't seeem to be too far off stock. They are a 1.3" drop and the ride seems maybe even softer then stock when on the open road and they feel stiffer through turns.

I have the sportline springs. I have tokico blues also. The sport line springs are too low. You WILL need a camber kit to fix the camber. Another 300+/- for the front and back.

sportline would be ok

well, for the sportline ..its 1.5inch for the front wheels...and about 1.7inch for the rear. In case if you decide to get sportline, then you will eventually end up with a set of camber kit. Cuz normally when ur car lowed 1.5 or more inch, you need camber kits in order to get alignment done for your car otherwise you will spend ur $$$ on new tire very often.

I have sportline and koni yellow set up...Over all i very satisfied with them though.

i dropped my ride on H&R's without shocks and was alright for awhile, but my shocks eventually wore into pieces of ship. I thought you could get away without a camber kit if you just lowered it 1.75" (no more) and got an alignment. Maybe i heard wrong. I need a camber kit though, 2.5" was a little too much for an alignment, but it looks damn good. Good luck.

I got a hook up from a friend at BigO.
He ordered The springs on his discount.

I got Suspension Technique 2inch drop.
They are still setteling so im not sure how low my car
will go or if i need a camber kit. I got the springs for
150 shipped and paid my friend 150 to lower it. If
I had done it through BigO it wouldve cost me 600

Looks really good so far.

I used sportlines with stock shocks and never needed a camber kit. i thouht the ride was nice (almost stock) and the drop height was very drivable. My tires never wore unevenly at.
