Newbie H23 to JDM H22 swap Guide

Before anyone starts telling me to use the search I already did and alot of the links are broken, what I am looking for is a swap guide that I can give to my local mechanic he said he would put in the new engine for my 1992 Prelude SI because the engine threw a rod but he has never done a swap to a new engine before and I wanted to print out a guide that I could take to him

^then I would take it to another mechanic or even someone who's done it before.

If I can figure it out during my sophomore year of high school, then almost everyone else can.

1. remove engine
2. replace needed parts on new engine
3. use old wiring harness and put on h22.
4. change the distributor from the h23 (optional)
5. wire in vtec (run two wires to vtec solenoid)
6. put back engine
7. buy or find a h22 header

if that doesn't help, search those topics..

Helms Manual is a pretty good guide. Ask your mechanic if he has ever heard of one of those.

I suggest picking one up. Save you some money down the road.

Replace the timing tensioner - use the manual one from the h23.
