new struts important?

I took my car in to tirekingdom to get balanced and rotated wheels, then they told me that I needed to get new struts because the ones i had were leaking. Is this really important? what will happen if i dont do this?? Will it cause something else that is more expensive to get fixed to go bad is the real question.

It mainly affects your handling. Your ride will just get worse and worse until you'll have a half-prelude, half-cadillac. It's not that you'll damage other things really, it's just that your car will become more and more dangerous to drive as it won't be able to control or slow down the bouncing of the springs effectively.

Your tires will wear unevenly and ultimately start to make noise.

Keep the Lude in the form it was meant to be in, & get new struts. You may be strapped for cash, but it's worth it in the end.
