new rims....sizing...??

im considering of getting some lowenharts for a good price. the thing is, they're 18x8. can i fit these on my 4th gen?? some told me it was too wide and some say they'll fit.

They should be able to fit if you have the right offset, remeber we have huge wheel wells

18"X 8" 47mm offset Chrome Lowenharts LGM w/ Nitto nT555 tires 225/40. still fit??

Probably not with that size tire. You will definitely have rubbing even with that offset.

The offset is high, but you should get a 215/35 wheel.

If you absolutely have to, you can probably stick with a 40 series tire, but you will definitely need a 215, 225 is too big.

Nice choice on the rims BTW.

Yes just like Mark said a 225 will rub, 215 is optimal, the wheel should work I asked my tire guy today, and if you did get a 40 series tire it will also fill your tire gap just a bit, but it should fit, also I do think you should put a 35 series tire on to make sure nothing rubs, I have no problem fitting 19s on my car, I want to go 20 next year!!!!!
