Almost completley done with the sanding now, just need to go over it once with wet sanding paper. I picked up some vinyl yesterday. It's a realllllly dark grey (just about as grey as you can get without being black). It's not an exact match to the factory color, but damn close. I checked the fit of the speaker today, and it's near perfect. I built the enclosure before I had the speaker, so if it didn't fit. . .it would have screwed the whole project up. Anyway, here are some pics with the JL Audio 6W0 resting in place:
No, I havent tried it yet. I dont have any screws to mount the speaker right now. I did run a wire through the backside today though. I'm just gonna hook it up to my Xtant untill my small mono-block amp gets here. It ounts right between the rear seat backs, at about shoulder level, just like the stock one. Here is a picture of the grill I'm gonna use, but I gotta order it first. It completely conceals all the mounting screws and dosn't have any ugly clamps:
I was just about to order that grill, and then I remembered I had some Pioneer 6.5 grills laying around from my co-axial installation. I hacked it up a little with my Dremel, and it fits niiiiiceee! I just gotta recover the metal mesh with some grill cloth to conceal the speaker a little better. Saving money ROCKS!

Sure, I'll think about it. what I sell all depends on what the buyer wants. . .I'd be willing to sell it all if the buyer wanted a total setup.
