Just bought a 95 prelude SI and thought I'd sign up with this forum for a little help here and there. I didn't see a search funtion, or am I just missing it. Anyhow, my prelude has no badging on the rear of the car. Anybody have a pic of the rear of their Prelude with Prelude and SI badging? Are they stickers or plastic glue on ons or what? Anybody sell the prelude emblem online? Are there any querks I should know about with car? It's a white prelude SI with 91K miles and I paid $4500, did I lose my arse on it? Any quickie mods? I wish I could search posts so I don't hassle ya'll with what I'm sure are over asked questions. Thanks for any help! nate
Glad you found the search function. There are also some great write ups at the top of the 4G function. Many more on the Prelude FAQ on the main page as well. Check them out for some great power mods and suspension mods.
My first mod would be suspension. It's so much better to roll around dropped and improved handling. If I did it over again I would have done suspension first. I went with wheels first but I'm still happy
Here is a pic of my car. You can see the emblem back there. You might check your local honda dealer. I'm not sure if they can still get it or not. Most Prelude parts have been discontinued.
Let us know anything you need help with. Just because you are new doesn't mean you should know all the works of the site. If you need any help you can ask me or a mod. Lot's of people around here are pretty friendly
Thanks for the links. Nice looking ride Mr Clifford. It needs a little work, the radiator is puking so I ordered a new one from radiatorbarn.com, they even hook you up with a free t-shirt, it needs the prelude emblem on the back and the metal skin on the sunroof needs replaced if I can find one. Again thanks for the help and I'll get a pic or two of the stocker up tomorrow. iamlost, you check out the jeep on my website www.black-jeep.com .
Thanks for the compliment. It is nowhere near as nice as some of the other members but I like it
If you get into modding, which I'm sure you will, check out the sponsors of this site. They have great deals and even better service. They are in the parts classified section.
Does the "Prelude" emblem on the 4th gens just come off, or do you have to shave it and fill in the holes? Cuz if it just comes off I can give you mine hondamadness.

I'm pretty sure it just sticks on. Any heat gun or good blow dryer would work to loosen the adhesive. I've thought about removing mine many times. Just haven't got around to it.
oooooooohhhhhh duh!!!! mines sittin right here next to me... it part sticks on and then has two tabs on back to line it up! you want it pics will be up soon

and yes on both the H and the PRELUDE they leave holes that need to be filled
First of all, Welcome. The only stickers on the decklid are the Vtec and 4WS logos. My 4ws sticker cost around $18. $4500 is a good deal for an SI. I paid about 9k for my 94 4WS about 2 years ago, but I knew that a 94 5speed 4WS was a rare car.
You can pick up a used sunroof in the junk yard rather cheap. My friend got his for around $100.
Welcome. I'm sure you will enjoy your new purchuse. Sounds like a solid buy.
I'm glad you found the search feature (the bright red text isn't accidential). There are actually TWO FAQ sections, one is stickied at the top of this forum and pertains mostly to 4th gen Preludes, the other is located on the main page. I'm not exactly sure why they are seperate. The 4th gen board gets a little slow at times, so you can usually find answers quicker by checking the FAQ's or searching.
I suggest you pick up a helms manual for your vehicle. If you plan on servicing/maintaining your own vehicle, it's pretty much your bible. At over 1,000 pages, it's well worth the $60 price. www.helminc.com
