new motor....

I have a 94 Si (see other thread) - I took apart some of the head last night (basically took the camshafts out) and decided that it would be less work to just put it back together, put a timing belt on there and see what happens. I know that it will either work or not work.

My question is, if I get a H22A (hmotors is out of the long block ), should I get the LSD tranny? What does the complete swap come with that the motor alone doesnt?

If I have to get something, I am leaning towards a F22B or H23A....depending on funds

I think there was a guy on here that imported the motors - can someone point me to his username?

HMotors is always a good choice.

We can't tell you what to get. You have to make that decision on your own.. We can only recommend thing to you.

And it'll all depend on what you're wanting to do..

What each "Swap" comes with should be stated.

I guess it's cheap to buy a h23 timing belt to see if it works. I'm sure you know it's not compatible with the h22.

I personally would go back and get the lsd if I could. At the time, it wasn't available (fyi I bought my motor from a local jdm warehouse so I could actually see my motor, they didn't have a h22 w/lsd at the time I needed one)

Honestly if you swap anything, just remember you need ecu and a different "downpipe" for the h22 swap. I would also take the time to do the manual tensioner + maintenance items.

Honestly if funds are scared, I would find another h23 head. But that's me.

You're thinking of preludejstyle (similiar). He's the one with the boosted lude + g37 sedan. Usually goes into OT.
