new mod? ne1 think of interval wipers? how could i????

i hate it when it rains just enough that you run the wipers way too fast or way too slow. anyone ever think of an interval wiper mod? how hard would that be to do?

edit to change variable to its proper name interval.

interval wipers like an analog setting type deal. ya know the ones the more you twist the faster they go instead of clicking to low medium high etc.

Yes that would be really nice, especially since my wiper make noise when there's not enough water and the gap between the intermitent and low setting is way too long if we could at least have another position in between it would be alright

I used to have a car with like 10 different intermittent settings, that was much nicer, we should figure this out some how.

I doubt there's something that can be done about it... from the wiring it seems like it's the ICU that controls that so unless you know how to play with that I don't think you could do much. Though somebody could probably make a completely new wiring for the wipers but you would also need to find a new switch that has more pole and that fits there...

i would look because the way it switches maybe you can replace something with a potentiometer. i would assume thats how it works. if thats true then that would be easy and id be a happy man.

The wipers that speed up when you accelerate are awesome. New accords have the variable wipers, I wonder how hard it would be to make those work in a prelude......I'm not much of a chop shop worker but I'm sure someone else could figure it out

It's a good idea, but it's not something I'd be willing to spend a lot of money on.

i have the JDM windshield wiper and light switch out of a BB4 chasis prelude when i had the clip sent, i took a bunch of goodies out of it it has a user settable intreval for the wiper, i already have the switches so i wonder what else i need, i might be willing to sell it in about a month when i go home back to VA.

i use the manual variable way, keep it on slow, and knock it up once if it gets bad. this is a mod i wouldnt mind doing though. florida gets all sorts of different types of rain.

my explorer has variable ones, but like others said it would be difficult to do, and probably not really worth it,, unless its on a jdm one which apparantly has it.. that would be a nice one to get, i'd like to get the rear windshield wiper..

i cant remember off the top of my head but if i remember correctly it was opposite, so the wipers were on the right, and headliighs on the left, i have the whole thing, for the headlights and for the interminant wipers, maybe something i should try when i get my prelude back
