NEW MOD, best I've done so far....

Okay guys I am keeping this out of the nitrous area because of the fact that I have a friend who posts here (he owns a 5th gen and doesn't ever look in here) and I don't want him to see that I did this, but I PUT NITROUS ON MY CAR. It is wonderful. It cost me about $600 after all the tax and other parts/tools I needed to do this.

I am running a 50 shot for now. I gave my friend who drives a 4cyl accord a 10-12 car length headstart. We started racing and I was slowly gaining on him, growing balls I hit the switch in the beginning of 2nd gear and began to spray and by the end of 2nd gear I was up on his ass. For $600 I added some 50+ hp. Great ****, I just have to be careful. Install was easy.

The reason why I am hiding this from my 5th gen friend is because we have a bet going on who is faster 4th gen vs. 5th gen. So I figure we race, and if I see that I am loosing or not pulling hard enough I will just umm, well flip the switch

Well, you know what I say:

He has the SH so he has me on handling till I make over mine, and his looks nicer, mine is pretty ugly looking, but I need to keep the speed factor over him. It isn't cheating if he doesn't know that I am doing it . Yeah 75 shot jets will go in soon, I just have to get more comfortable with this nitrous thing, it still scares me.

I wouldn't go upping the shot to 75 withought some engine work, colder plugs, and some timing retarding.

colder plugs? or do you mean copper? Retarding engine is simple right? just turn back distributor?

colder. and yes you turn your distributor to change the timing. retarding would be away from your firewall.

I agree with the plugs...

Your car should be able to handle the 75 just fine. Don't abuse it! As far as adjusting the timing, I don't think it's as easy as messing with the dustributor. I think the computer will re-adjust it.

Why is using NOS cheating? You just run what you brung. It aint cheating its just a new surprise.

Just being smart and not letting on about the NOS is a smart move and a good way to win some cash. If your car is faster than that is all that matters.

The only exception is if you specifically mention no NOS allowed. But NOS is a power adder just like a turbo or a supercharger.

Schel...you're right...

In a way. I guess spraying the giggle gas isn't cheating, but he said friend. NOS is no way to settle a 4/5th gen war. Now if we're talking about in the streets, hustling stangs and z28's now that's a different story.

Flip the switch and let it spray!!!

I agree it isn't a fair way to settle 4th gen 5th gen showdown, I actually told him last night that it is on. He just ordered the kit too, he is always one bettering me , I guess I will have to save my pennies and really out do him
