New member H22A Problems

Hey folks.
I've been browsing this forum for a long time, doing searches and looking at past threads, it is until now that I finally created an account.. It's now that I'm at a loss for what to do with my 92 Accord Coupe h22.

The car was purchased in Feb 2010, from some guy named Jose from the hood.

I was young, and to be honest, I paid $2200 for a complete pile of **** on a body kit. Don't freak out, she's on stock bumpers again. Moving on..

Two weeks ago I was driving down south to visit a couple friends in Denver. The car ran great until the distributor fell off. Apparently, Jose figured it would be a great idea to put a very low grade distributor on with wire. Having been new to Honda's, let alone H22's, I didn't notice anything until it happened, or else I would have replaced it. Well, it fell off, and lodged itself in there. We pull the sucker out, look inside, and the whole thing's still in-tact. So, I run to the parts store and grab a dizzy. I threw it on, and she starts right up.
But it goes down hill from there...

1. The car has NO power. Hesitating, draggy feeling. I've been trying to time this sucker for weeks. Nothing. I even tried using a timing gun.

2. Originally, the car was set to red line at 7500. Now, when I floor it, she only makes it up to about 6400-6500 and won't go any higher. The battery hasn't died, and the VAFC that's in there hasn't been screwed around with. Weird thing is, even after the dizzy replacement, the car would still rev up to 7500 rpms. It wasn't until a couple days ago that this changed.

I think I need to take it to PFI and have it tuned and timed plus a thorough look over.. What do you think?

Anything at this point will help:
Opinions?
Suggestions?
Similar problems anyone?
Questions?

Thanks for reading,
