New member v. Spring rate

I love this forum, just joined.

I have a 94 Prelude Si h23 automatic. It keeps me sane.

I was wanting to do some suspension upgrades. I was wanting to do Ground Control coilovers, and i see that you can select the spring rate.

I want to know the stock spring rate for my car so that I can go by that as a control/basis. I have done some extension searching google wise and on this forum, and people say that the spring rate is in the helms manual. I do not have a helms manual. I have the service manual and it doesn't say in that.

So if anyone has a helms manual and could look up the spring rate for my car that i have listed above, it would be outstanding.

Thanks

Lude on my friends.

Don't know what the stock spring rate for the car is but when you buy off the shelf ground controls they come with 385 front / 250 rear for the prelude application. How much stiffer are you looking to go and what kind of shocks will you be matching with it?

I went to the ground control website, then to my suspension http://www.ground-control-store.com/...p/II=525/CA=60

and it says "Desired Spring Rate (If unsure of rate give brief description of expected usage):"

Im thinking you can input your desired sring rate.

I am wanting to know the stock spring rate so that I can compare other after market springs OR a Ground Control system to the stock one. I do not want to much of a stiffer spring, probably like Street-strip usability. SO im thinking maybe if I do about 20-30% stiffer would be optimal for my wants.

It should be close or the same since the 5th gen shares the same shocks and springs.

Sorry I thougth they shared the same control arms, tie rods, etc i though the spring may differ because of weight difference between the 4th and 5th gen

on near full soft, almost feels like when i had h&r sports on oem shocks. pretty comfortable

on near full stiff, its pretty stiff (of course) but i'm like used to it now. i would stick to mostly new roads though
