they actually didnt even make Vtecs in 1992. Yours would have to be a swaped car. Does the 4ws work on swapped cars? I have heard it doesn't. from what ive heard, it is something programmed into the ecu.

eh, what do I know, I am as new to this as anyone. welcome, and remember, whatever you think you know about hondas, throw it out. so far these seem pretty different from my other cars (00 Si, 92 EG B16 turbo, 04 S2k, and 07 Fit -- even though the Fit doesnt really count, its in a class of its own)

ok, camera is missing in action atm...
but it is very definitely a vtec (love the kick at 5000rpm )
and it has "E-BB1" and a hole lota jap on a plate in the engine bay.

Yes it does. You heard wrong. The 4ws system is completely independent of the motor/ecu.

if it's a 92', def swapped. If the engine block just has the 4 digit serial than its jdm. If it has the 4ws, the stock 4ws ludes had its own ecu unit in the trunk i believe.

umm, one more question. i can get a gizzmo vtec controller very cheap thru a friend... it only adjusts the point at which vtec kicks in, was wanting to know if i would need to change anything else in my setup for it to work...
thanks

^don't buy it

its a waste to just change the vtec point, you need timing + fuel as well
