Pacesetter
Neuspeed
B&M

The adr's she's running are these

without the writing on the wheels. They're a good rim.. she hasn't had any problems with them and they seem to stand up to potholes pretty good.

My previous wheels were 17" ADR RS2000's and they were great rims. Finish was great and they seemed strong to me. I had them two years without a bend.

As for your question, there is also a DC SPorts short shifter and the Pure racing short shifter. I have the DC model and have experienced no problems whatsoever, but I hear the Pure Racing model is great because it is adjustable. I think it is rather hard to find though.

Welcome to the board.

Mark

there are two different options you have for short shifters for the 4th gen...

1. short shift adapter like the dc sports one. i have no personal experience with them on my lude but it seems that some people love them and some hate them

2. complete short shifter. this replaces the entire shifter with a new, shorter version. the only company i know that makes them would be c's. they are from japan and are usually pretty pricey. i think if you do a search you might find some topics on it. i think our moderator Dr. James had one on one of his ludes.

personally i would go with the c's shifter...but only if you have the money!!

you could also just cut down the stock shifter about an inch if you just want the short shifter look rather than the shorter shift throws.

engine upgrade

You have a few possibilities. If the car is an Si, then you could always buy a Vtec head, which is cheaper than buying a whole knew engine. If you want to swap the entire engine then your best bet is to stay with a prelude engine, namely JDM Vtecs. The 4th gen JDM Vtec puts out around 200 HP and the 5th gen JDM puts out around 217 HP. These engines will both greatly improve your performance. You will also need a new ECU if you swap engines, and if possible you should get and OBD1 (On Board Diagnostics One) ECU regardless of which engine you choose. OBD1's are from '93 and sooner and they take much better to modifications. Hope this helps with your decision!

thank's guys.. that's exactly what i was looking for.. Yeah i was going to stick wiht an odb1 motor. didn't want to deal with the extra from and odb2 motor.

yeah i want more than just the looks of a short shifter. it has to have the shortened throw. that's what she wants..I believe the neuspeed kit replaces the stock shifter with a shorter one.

I have the DC adapter. It is cool, but you need to trim the plastic on the shift boot to prevent rubbing. I might be getting rid of my DC shortly

The DC is an adapter, whereas the Pure and C's are true short shifters.

I can't think of one great place, but check out www.groupbuycenter.com. I can't think of any other places off the top of my head.

They are hard to find. I think Dr. James had one. Someone was selling one way back.

try emailing john @ Cartunerz@aol.com

i talked to him once about it. he said he could get them but they usually don't have them in stock. that means it might be a little wait because they have to import them from japan.

let us know what you find. i'd be interested too...mabye we can get a few guys together and lower the price a little.

nope. DC, Neuspeed, B&M are all adapters for our cars.

I have never heard of these C's short shifters, but if you guys get a group buy together I may be in.
