New to forum w/ questions

Hi - I just bought a 93 Prelude and am trying to figure out two things. One, is it a VTEC? Two, is it a Si.

VTEC - shouldn't it be stamped on the engine somewhere? Can I tell by the VIN?

Si - I've seen others w/ the red Si sticker on the back under Prelude, but with this being a 93, it is probably worn and gone.

Also, it won't pass smog yet. All the readings from the CA smog check are well below even the average levels; till you get to the NO (PPM) rating. The max is approx 500 and its at 750+. I'm not a wrench guy, what might it be? A mechanic said to fill it up w/ super, add a cleaner (bought the one that said guaranteed to pass emission test) and the retest. Just wondering what might be the issue.

I had the same problems I bought a 96 prelude listed at a prelude S, I didnt believe it, so I went to hondacity.com and there is an option to validate your vin. mine came up as a 96 honda prelude Si with an H22A1, I was very happy
