I installed my new exedy organic racing clutch with fidanza lightflywheel... i forgot about the break in period.... would it hurt my clutch performance and flywheel?... btw... how long is the breakin period... and can it be breakin in highway miles?
Usually 500 city miles is recommended - highway doesn't count b/c you're not engaging/disengaging the clutch. During the break-in, no dropping the clutch, or shifting at high rpms either.
just drive for about 500 city miles. its not like there would be a dramatic difference that ur clutch is broken into. its just safer in all cases to drive 500 city miles. in the ACT book, it says 300 but its just safer to go 500.
when i got my ACT it was right around 400 miles city driving that i noticed that my clutch started catching and gripping better and faster. i would assume that the exedy would be the same way, going from kind of squishy to firm as hell. at least thats how mine felt
