You guys never have the problem with getting water in them Altezza's?
Over here I see a lot of them with water inside.. Or do we just have too much rain over here?

You have no basis on calling Altezza's rice, we been thru this a thousand times. And now I'm a firm believer in if you believe altezza's are rice then so are Carbon Fiber hoods due to the fact that they both serve the same purpose.
Carbon Fiber hoods are lighter than Stock hoods.
Altezza's (especially the CF) is lighter than stock taillights
And if you say everyone has altezza's, then you're wrong because these Altezza's just came out and no one really have the CF Altezza's on a 4th Gen as it is.
And even then, everyone now has CF Hoods, even old school 88 Civic run around with CF hoods around my way...

the carbon fiber is a film or painted on they are not real carbon fiber so they don't weigh any less.
You can tell because it gets that streched look in certian places and plus i ues to sell these things and they are just plastic... not very good design either can leak and fog up plus some older ones had the lense fall off on the inside..

Jose, naw just tryin to light a fire up someones a$$
Nothin personal I'm just bored...
As for what you're saying ViZ, you're wrong. You obviously dont own altezza's because even the non-CF Altezza's weight significantly less than the Stock Tails.. But you might be right about it being not real CF.. And mine dont fog or nothing and I bought mine 3rd hand used..
There may be a weigh difference between the stock tails and altezza, but let me make a comparison :
let say you get a new shift knob that weighs 20% of stock, and lets say the stock weights 15 oz. ok so your new shift knob would weight about 3 oz, alright you've shaved 12 ounces off your car.
but now apply that to a hood, something that wights much much more, lets say a stock hood weights 60 pounds, if you get a carbon hood that weighed 20% of the stock then it would be 12 lbs. you take 48 lbs off.....
so stock tails weigh like 5 lbs maybe and the altezza 3 lbs. 4lbs aint gonna do $hit for a car.
go exercise and lose a couple of pounds.....
As for looks, its all personal opinion. Will these get played out, i hope not, but perhaps, i remember a time when the regular altezza were rare, look at them now..... hopefully everyone who has brough the original ones have learned their lesson and wouldn't buy these things.........
one more note: I think whoever makes these things strategically makes new ones to try to coax they're customers into buying 'the latest taillight' "get these fake carbon fiber tailights for 200 dollars, you'll be the only one with them.....'
but before you know everyone has em'........

neoekai: I agree with what you're saying... *BUT*...
From what I've read in different places, a good rule of thumb is 100 pounds of weight (removed) = .1 seconds in the 1/4 mile...
That being said, you're paying upwards of $500 (for a lude anyway) for a Carbon Fiber hood that shaves off 48 pounds (I dont know how much a stock hood weighs but will go with your 60 pounds) Anyway, 48 pounds = .05 seconds
$500 for .05 seconds.. how cost effective is that? Buy Pulleys and other mods with that $500...
