I have heard alot of great things about the new aem computer that just came out. Has anyone put this bad boy on there ride??? They make them for 4th gens. How is it?? It's a little expensive, but hey I guess what do you expect when you can hook a lap top up to your ride and control vtec, nitrous, boost, etc all in one unit. ssssswwwwweeeeeettttt!!!!!!!!!
You can't control VTEC with it, and it doesn't have hi-cam lo-cam functionality (i.e. seperate fuel maps)...YET. But it's a really sweet system regardless...only for the all-out NA or FI setups really. Unless you like dropping the kind of cash to tune your I/H/E.
Well I think it might control the vtec though unless the guys at honda tuning magazine are wrong... check out the importtuner.com website and go into the hondatuning mag section there is large column that tells you all about it. They said it can control vtec.

yeah it can probably control VTEC as in when it engages and stuff like that but it doesn't have separate fuel maps for lo cams and hi cams like Satan_SRV said though since it looks quite programmable I wonder if you could set it up to change the fuel map on a certain condition... if you can you could probably make it so it uses separate fuel maps for VTEC...
also it may look a bit expensive or just for the FI or all-out N/A but using it to tune your I/H/E should give you some nice power if you dyno tune it...
I'm considering getting one when I'll have more money but for now it's the paint job that's the most important...
Actually, why would you need 2 separate fuel maps? can't you set how much fuel depending on RPM? if so I don't see why you'd need a separate fuel map for VTEC

That's why I said it's not a big deal...I could care less what my fuel maps on the low cam above 5200 rpms are....that's 150km/h or 93 miles an hour in 5th gear....that's the only time you'll see me on low cam above 5200.

sure why not...it will save you swapping the auto ecu for a manual one...good idea bud...spemd the extra cash and get the EMS!!
I have the AEM EMS and it can control almost anything you want: VTEC, NOS, boost solenoids for wastegates, staged injection, multiple coils, etc, etc... For VTEC control, you don't need a separate fuel map, just set up your main fuel map and then tell the EMS when to kick on VTEC either by engine load, engine speed, or TPS. There is a function in the software called VTEC FUEL that is a percentage increase of fuel you want to add when VTEC ingages. The system is amazing in it's options, I was pretty pissed though when it wouldn't start in my car. It also blew my ignitor. I sent it back to AEM last week so they could fix the problem. I have heard of atleast 4 others with that same no start issue.

That sucks bro.I guess every new deal has a few bugs to work out eh?I just sucks that the consumers are usually the ones who find them and lose the money on them...
