Neuspeed sway bars

I got my Neuspeed sway bars on yesterday and i must say

Front Bar
Quite simple just take the small bolts (cant remember size) off the bottom of the end-links. in order to take the end links off the bar its self you will need an 11/16 wrench and a hex key don't strip the threads when you go to put it back together just reverse the steps and replace the bushings with the yellow urethane bushings Neuspeed provides.

finished with front

Rear Bar
Even easier, just use that same 11/16 and hex key to take off the end links from the sway bar first. Then take off the brackets (two bolts on each bracket), With the new brackets they have stickers with arrows telling you which side and what direction they face (easy), put provided bushings and brackets on new bar don't totally tighten the bushings down as you may need to shimmy the bushings in the brackets on the bar to get the brackets to line up on the car, now.. on the new brackets there will be three holes and Neuspeed provides new bolts as well, use these bolts as they are longer because the Neuspeed brackets are thicker. the two new holes will be.. on the passenger side, its one of th muffler heat-shield bolts. On the drivers side its one of the brackets that holds the gas tank hose. once you get everything lined up tighten it all down and don't forget th end-links to tighten those as well. Then go out and have fun. enjoy

Nice to live in a warm climate where salt never sees your car. Your underside is very clean as compared to my rust ridden underside.

Why does a rear one cost so much more?

Looks really nice man, congrats!

What thickness did you get? Did you manage to find a set of the old, "for track use only" bars? Either way, you cannot go wrong w/ the Neuspeed bars.

nah i just ordered them from a shop in Tampa who got em strait from Neuspeed there 25mm front and back

on a side note the ride feels to have gotten better in a strait line as well , and that 55 - 65 mph shake has seemed to of gone away.

and as a little story, i have neuspeed strut bars, sway bars, and shocks, and they still havent given me a Neuspeed sticker so i told my freind (the guy i did the install with), and he pulls out this neuspeed short shift adapter for an accord that he is installing later, and it has a sticker in the box . he gave it to me

Do you have an Apexi N1 exhaust? Did that give you any trouble installing the rear bar? I've been considering getting the neuspeed sway bars.

Wow its so rust free under the car. It took me forever to replace mine. I had to replace the endlinks as well because they wouldnt come off the stock sway bar.

good info... and it looks good too, but just so you know, you just increased your understeering (going from stock front sway/decent amount of understeering to aftermarket front sway/major understeering)... have fun dealing with that.

erm no i didnt because for one thing the OEM bars go like this

Stabilizer Bar (mm, front/rear) 25.4/23.0

the neuspeeds are both 25mm wich means the front is smaller by .4 than stock wich decreases understeer and i went up 2mm on the rear bar wich also decreases understeer. so in escence i got rid of understeer. Secondly understeer is not strictly a swaybar thing. It has to do with tire preasure, tire size, camber, spring rates, shock stiffness, all of which i can controll except for spring rate as u get what u buy but i can controll my shock stifness and camber and tire preasure... etc. here is a cheat sheet for you

DECREASE UNDERSTEER..... CORRECTION.....DECREASE OVERSTEER

higher pressure........................tire pressure - front......................lower pressure

larger contact area....................tire section - front...............smaller contact area

more negative.........................wheel camber - front.......................more positive

softer............................................ springs - front.........................................stif fer

thinner (softer).............................sway bar - front.........................thicker (stiffer)

larger...........................................s poiler - front.......................................smalle r

lower pressure.........................tire pressure - rear.....................higher pressure

smaller contact area.................tire section - rear..................larger contact area

more positive.........................wheel camber - rear......................more negative

stiffer........................................... .springs - rear.........................................softe r

thicker (stiffer).............................sway bar - rear.........................thinner (softer)

smaller..........................................s poiler - rear........................................larger

weight bias rearward................weight distribution..............weight bias forward
