neuspeed or spoon front strut bar?

im not sure wether to get neuspeed or spoon front strut bar. spoon also makes a rear strut bar so i think it would be better if i got the front and rear spoon because they were designed together. but what i really want to know is which one is better. if someone has experience with either, please post.

and about the fitment issue with the spoon, it says for preludes with abs, but i heard it can be modified easily, is that right?

^ Yep. The Spoon one is getting tough to find though, and the Neuspeed is a bit cheaper.

If you get the Spoon, you have to modify the bracket.

I thought that the Spoon won't fit Preludes w/ ABS, something to do with it being in the way, am I wrong?

As he said, all you must do is modify the bracket.

I'm going to sound like a brand name ***** on this but I'd go with Spoon if it were me. I think both coatings on the Neuspeed look very cheap, but the Spoon looks great - raw and tough!

Yeah, spoon looks better, more solid built too (if that makes a difference), plus, yeah, it's Spoon. The bracket being modified is for the ABS?

I still think that the Neuspeed would be a better choice because it doesnt mount to the shock towers. Just my thoughts, though.

Go to neuspeed.com and read about their bars. The main reason I got the neuspeed over the spoon is that it is one solid peice. The fact that the spoon bar has the pivots at the connection between the bracket and bar makes me think it will flex a little more.

Just my $0.02

When you tighten it, it doesn't pivot.

I like the spoon bar because it's not a pain in the ass to get it on, like the neuspeed. Looks better too, IMO.

I voted/own a Neuspeed, and choose it over a Spoon. I too have also always been kinda deterred by any strut bars that have the joints at the end as it seems like it defeats the purpose somewhat. Even if they're very tight, the flexing of the chassis will move them I'm sure. I dunno, the Neuspeed looks like a more solid bar to me.

Oh, but YES the neuspeed is a PITA to get on soemtimes.

yea, thats very true. those pivots will move under pressure. one question i had about the neuspeed is whats the difference between the si and vtec strut bars? just out of curiosity since the spoon bar isnt si/vtec specific.

The difference between the Vtec and Non Vtec bars is that the Vtec one sits higher than the non, because the H22 itself has a taller head than the H23. The non vtec bar will fit with an H22, but if you wanted to get your oil cap off, you'd have to take the bar off.
