Neuspeed Race Springs (or anything as low as these)

Well, spring (yes, the season too) time is finally coming. I'm just wondering how satisfied all of you are who have Neuspeed race springs, or really, anything as low as these, whether it's coilovers or whatnot. I'm looking at some springs right now, that go down about 2.15" in the front and the rear. Anyone have rubbing / bottoming out problems with stock wheels? How bad is winter for you northerners? Lemme know guys. Thanks.

Erik.

I'll let you know when I get my stock rims on Monday, my Prelude's riding on Koni Yellows/Neuspeed Races. With some nasty black steel wheels that were thrown on so I could take it off the lot and mismatched tires (ugh....), the rubbing is constant at the extremes and I bottom out hard going over more sperical speed bumps, though the longer-not-as-high ones don't present much of a problem. The ride is harsh, but that's expected. Going over small imperfections in the road, I can feel everything, and there's ZERO body roll as far as I can tell. I do drive around everything I see coming up on the street, including manholes, even tiny potholes (dear GOD even small ones are painful!!), paper bags... Overall I reaaaaally dig how the car feels, and I'm hoping the situation will improve once I put on the correct size wheels and tires. I don't want to get rid of the stiffness the car has, I've grown to really like it.

Thanks SoFlaLude, keep me posted when you get the stockies back on.

Ok... I know someone else has to have something similar to these. Does anyone even have GC's lowered 2"? Anyone, anyone? I'd really appreciate the input.

I had Neuspeed Race/Tokico Illuminas on my 98 Civic Cp. Harsh as hell... Turned like a mofo, but it just about ruptured my kidneys in the process. Non-stop bouncing.
You'll have to slow over manholes, potholes, speedbumps, driveways, painted lines and some shadows.

Thanks for the info. I'm looking for something streetable, and as low as possible (handling reasons only) without being obscenely low (read: no wheel tuck). This setup will hold me off until I can afford Teins or Aragostas.

The springs (linear) I'm looking at [are not cheap and] are 8.4kg/mm front (about 470lb/inch) and 6.6kg/mm rear (about 370lb/inch), and lower about 55mm (just over 2") all round. I'm just seeing how bad something like this will rub, if at all.

I know the Neuspeed Race springs (linear) lower 2.5 front and 2.0 rear, and are 400lb/inch front and 345lb/inch in the rear.

My other consideration is rolling the fenders if I can't get proper clearance. This is a street, autoX and mild road race car.

Thanks for your help guys. Any input is totally appreciated.

-Erik

i have koni/ground controls with custom spring rates so its pretty stiff. Its lowered about 2.25-2.5" I'm rolling on 17s and i dont really have any rubbing problems. I dont really bottom out that much. I just go up/down inclines sideways. And potholes and stuff...you'll get use to it. Overall, i'm satisfied with it...nice and low!

I think I might just go ahead and get these... I'd like something that will be really nice for autoX and the track. I'd still appreciate any other input though
