i used to have this swap in my 96 accord. used a 99 h22a4 about 2 years ago.

i used a 96 ecu but bought it brand new from a&h motor for $650.

this ecu is impossible to find. very, very hard. he could be on that wait list forever.

reason being, not many preludes were made in 96, last year for the 4th gen. models. not many preludes sold at all. horrible in sales. and the ones that sold weren't the overpriced $25000 vtec model.

That's what he said so far. $650, for a new one. I found a harness adpter on Hondata:

OBDII to OBDI

This is ilegal but it could work right?

yeah, it should be fine. just have to contact hondata.

i would have gone that route if hondata was available in the states 2 years ago.

your friend can also use a jdm 96-up ecu as they don't have the immobilizer system.
