Im looking at buying either a M2A4 or M2F4. I have a stock USDM 95 vtec but my tranny went to **** so i need to swap it out. I found a guy selling a m2f4 (usdm vtec) tranny for $300 but i dont know if i should get a usdm one because chances are it has high miles on it. the guys said it has no grinds and shifts like butter which is ok but the miles scare me. I can get a jdm one for $400 which may have less miles on it, but the jdm 5th gear is longer and i liked my shorter 5th that came with the usdm ones cuz it pulled real nice when in 5th. hmmm i dont know which one to go for

Why are you pulling in 5th anyways?

I would take a jdm tranny over any usdm tranny anyday.

Don't tell me you like to street race in 5th either.

I dont do any kind of racing. I baby my car cuz I need it to last me through school. I dont like winding up the lower gears so much but its nice to be able to tap the gas in 3rd, 4th and 5th and get some good pull.

Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for.

The USDM 4th gen tranny is shorter than a JDM. Short grears > long. Except when 5th is the only shorter gear. Thats ***.
