Need some motor help (big problem...)

ok, i have a JDM H22a, its in a '90 accord. Anyways, i replaced the distributer on it, with a USDM and converted to external coil. anyways, today i let my roomate take my car to get the oil changed at a local shop (hey, i had a coupon for free oil change) and they changed the oil. i get home from work, to start my car, and it won't idle anymore. and makes a fileing sound with the RPMS. ie, it fallows the rpm with the sound. I'm not sure what is happening, the car is missing badly also. I'm pretty mechnical, so i can do all my work (yes, oil change too...but it was free). I am putting all the blame on my roomate, and will make him pay for any repairs that need ot be done. What could it possibly be? i am going to time it tomorrow to check if its on.

How is it ur roomates fault. He was doing u a favour by taking ur car to get an oil change. Its not like he opened up the hood and did the oil change himself (then it could possibly be his fault). I wouldn't be so quick to thorw accusations against ur roomate

if everything was fine before, meaning car was perfect.

your friend may have had a little too much fun with the car. possibly missed a shift and over-revved the car.

purely speculation of course.
