need some info on changing h22a sohc to h22a vtec anything

its going to be the same year engine going from a h22a sohc non v tec to an h22a dohc v tec anything special i need to know to do this also changing transmission from auto to manual......

first the 2.2 sohc engine code is f22 not h22. the h22a is the 2.2 dohc vtec.

As far as swapping the h22a in, it'll simply drop in and bolt right up. You'll need to wire two wires directly from the vtec solenoid to the ecu and one more to a ground. Switching from auto to manual, you'll need... a pedal assembly, shifter, shift cables and linkages. You'll also need to make sure the ecu is for a h22a manual. Other than that, you should be set.

Unless you're swapping in a jdm, you'll have other things to change... fuel rail and distributor.
