need opinions on this

Aright guys... I have my *** 92 S auto, and yes its going to stay auto...so i'm planning on dropping a jdm h22 in and then I have a shop by me that can put a torque converter in for $1200...With this setup, will my car be able to stay in vtec long enough? and will the torque converter be worth it? What kind of 1/4 mile times can I expect out of this? I know all you 5 speed people are gunna hate on this but i can't find anyone to do it, so spare me.. So do you guys think the torque converter is worth it or should I just do I/H/E instead?
thanks for the responses

So you are keeping you S auto tranny in and not going with the JDM auto tranny? If so your car will not have a chance of staying in vtec. The S tranny has way taller gears.
