There's a red 95 Si that I really like and it's stock. It's got 99K miles, body is in excellent condition. The interior has charcoal seats with black dash and in excellent condition as well. The asking price is $8995. Do you think that is pretty good?
try offering them 8500....9000 would be for a perfect body with no dings or faded paint. Also make sure you run a carfax on it.
You know, I think that carfax can be good but I also think it's kind of a rip. As an example, I know that my mom is the original owner of her 89 Probe with no accidents. I got her VIN# and ran a carfax and her car came up with 8 records!
If she is original owner of vehicle w/ no accidents what could the carfax possibly tell you then? Maybe about tickets in the past? I personally don't think you would find out anything of value. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Sounds like a steep price to me. Is it through a dealer? If that's a private sale I would pass. I got a 93 SI for $6200 with a rebuilt engine - only 15k's. Should definitately talk it down.
I would try to talk them down quite a bit, but I'm in the Arkansas area so maybe the prices are cheaper here. I got my 93 VTEC with 93k miles on it for $7700 from a private seller. The body on mine does sound as good as yours though (couple of door dings, rock chips)
EDIT: oops...i meant doesn't sound as good

Yeah, the car is from a dealer. That was the worst possible scenario in which I wanted to buy a car, but, the car is real sweet. When they first had it on the lot it was for $10,995 now it is $8995.
I got my 92 Si for 6000 about 2 years ago, it had about $1200 in body damage though. It had 90,000 on it, other than the body damage, it was in perfect condition with all receipts for all work done, including all oil changes.

way high, i got my 95 si 71k miles perf condition save for 300$ body work with after market tints muffler and clears for 6700... turns out i've had to fix ac for 650 and slave cylinder and soon clutch but clutch mayb my fault neways 8000 something ti too much u could get unstock one for that
that price seems a little steep...i just bought my car a month ago for $6100 and it's a 94 Prelude Si with only minor scratches on the exterior and 93k miles on it...definitely try and talk them down....
Definitely talk them down. I got my 92 Si with after market tails, 197k, and a few minor dents and scratches for $3100. The interior is perfect, the stereo is pretty good, and before the kid I got it from moved here from New Hampshire, his parents put like $1500 into the engine. If you really want a lude, shop around. You'll be able to find a better price than that.
dude you can pay 20$ for a carfax report to check your 8000$ purchase. its guaronteed to be correct by carfax up to 5000$ too i believe. 8 records doesnt mean 8 people. that means maybe an accident, sticker check with milage check, recalls, things like that. its a good thing to look into my friend
ya talk em down
i found mine for 6500 about 2 years ago with 92000
salvage title, but it checked out ok, and no damage to any internals from what the mechanic said...
