Need Opinion On CAT

Ok, I need a new CAT in order to pass smog. I can get one installed for $165 or I can get a Random CAT for $215 shipped. For those with CATs, is it worth it to get a high flow CAT like a Random or should I go the cheaper route. Also, I am concerned about the loudness of my car. I really dont want it to be louder. Any opinions from aftermarket car owners would be highly appreciated

Thanks,
Bill

Most aftermarket cats are free-flow cats but still allow you to pass smog, taken, u dont have any other mods...as for sound, free flow usually makes a deeper sound than what you are used to...if you want the same original cat, gotta look for an original only...otherwise, ur stuck with the OEM (i.e. carsound, catco, random....etc.)

IMHO Ramdom cat is a POS. I had one installed and it was not long enough. I had to make it work and if I had to do it again, well I wouldn't.

I too have to get emission done in the next two weeks and I opted for the catco cc from summit racing. Cost was < $100 shipped and I also have to replace the flex pipe.

I am also thinking of adding an extra resonator to the greddy PE cause I am getting tired of loud exhaust.

I am sick of loud exhausts, too. Thanks for the input, and I had a universal CAT installed for around $180. I may have been able to get it a little cheaper, but I just wanted it done
