Need a new exhaust...

Well, the Tanabe GPM that is on the car has started to blow slightly due to some corrosion, so I'm looking into a new cat-back system. Tried searching for 'best 4th gen exhaust' but didn't really find any definitive answers.

What is considered to be the one to go for? I won't be going for a Mugen, simply because I can't believe that it is worth the money it's advertised for. I am looking for any gains possible, but I know that this is a bit hit-and-miss. Also, not too loud and annoying but something with a nice growl to it, not raspy.

So, what do you reckon?

I reckon you will put a USDM muffler on your JDM car

Sign up here and you can listen to some of the exhausts. Most are for the 5G but you can get the idea.

Gary,

Theres a few available to you.

A cheap one is the Janspeed, its about £280 for the full stainless system. Trouble is the UK bore is slightly smaller than the JDM Ludes as well as the CAT being shorter.

Best bet is to get a nice GReddy or something

Loadsa info on here

about 7 mos ago put on the Thermal R&D stealth, full stainless. Love the deep sound and noticable power gain, everyone that see's and hear's it does. Perfect fit right out of the box. Drawback? between 500 and 550 $ well worth it to me though, and no I don't work for Thermal, lol

It's got a hole in it on the pipe by the axle, thus the gas is blowing out.

Might get that Kakimoto that Pole Position is selling, heard good things about them.

When did Greddy discontinue the PE model? UK, if you want a nice exhaust that has a VERY nice, LOW tone, one that's not raspy at ALL, and one that'll give you a modest gain, try the Greddy SP. After three years of being driven hard, through rain, sleet, snow, and salted roads, it's holding up VERY nicely.
