need help with the wiring on my JDM 1 piece headlights!!!!

ive read the FAQ section already, i used the diagram from HP.com to wire my lights up correctly..they work, high low ect, and my city lights will come on, but, the city lights will only come on if my headlights are turned on....i wanna be able to have my inner lights come on with the car coming on, or just by using the switch in the car...also, if you hook up the H1's to a power, and ground them, switching the power turns them on, but theyre really bright...the only way ive gotten them to be dim, is by the instructions i have, id really love to get these hooked up the rest of the way...any ideas?

try tapping it into the ignition wire. Or a wire that only has power when the key is turned on.

I dont have my inner lights on my jdm's hooked up but i was told that they are not city lights they are fog/driving lights.... i may be wrong but that might explain why they are bright when you hook them up the way you did because a regular city light would probably blow if it got to much power.. Don't hold me by this though .. can anyone clarify?

the inner beam (h1 bulb) on the jdm 1 pc headlights are an auxiliary light, i think it is of use in japan because of the heavy fog that they get there. that beam was very simple to hook up. they are wired on two completely different relays. i purchased a pre-wired fog light kit from an auto store. which included the switch, relay and all the wiring. all you will need extra is the harness. you can purchase a universal harness fitted for the h4 bulb but you will only use 2 of the terminals. most jdm's will include these harnesses. i wired my h1's into my radio power, to prevent me from leaving them on with the car off. hope this helps.

i may still do the fog light thing, i thought of that, but i havent had a day off..i got mine to work, i can turn them on without the car on, they stay on if my parking lights are on, but when i turn my headlights on, they turn off, which is kinda cool in itself..peace
