need help with speedometer

alright well my speedometer some times has pms and want to work and most of the time not work i know i havea busted cv boot thats flinging grease all over the place and has the copper tone rings covered in grease.....could that be the reason for it pmsing???

I don't know how to say this but you are worrying about your speedometer while your cv boot is torn? Get that fixed right away, god knows when you might lose control due to a broken axle or something on that matter and spin out and hurt yourself...let alone anyone else that you could hit while it's happening.

ok, first off, get that cv boot replaced before you really mess up your axle (it will wear down the gears, but the axle isn't going to break). next

search... there have been so many topics about this recently...

intermitant speedo problems are due to a failing VSS (vehicle speed sensor).
