NEED HELP QUICK......AC related.

Heres the problem....tonight, i started up my car to move it and i let it idle for maybe 3 minutes. My friend noticed that it was idling funny and asked if the AC was on. Well, it was turned all the way hot and in the off position. The weird thing was that the AC lines were frozen and their was a layer of frost on them. I need to drive my car for about 2 hours on saturday and for a while tomorrow and I don't want this to cause any problems. I don't know what the deal is but as of now, I don't need the AC and I would just like to disable it for the time being. Anyone have ANY suggestions???

maybe the clutch on the compressor got stuck and it was doing its job, even though it was off

Some cars turn the AC on (with no visible indication) when you hit the defroster.
