Need help on pricing

Ok guys, my Lude has 155K miles on it and I think the clutch needs to be changed. My clutch pedal is VERY stiff to push in and whenever I push in the clutch I hear a rattle coming from the engine comparment like something broke off and is bouncing around in the engine or tranny. It only happens when I push in the clutch.
Also, I don't know the history of the car. All I know is the engine still runs good and pulls pretty damn good for a car with as many miles as mine does. With that said, I don't know when the timing belt was changed, or any other belts and hose.
My question to you is do you think I should buy a JDM swap for my car now??? The problem that I have is I am on a budget. My car expenses are getting VERY high now. If I did buy the swap how much do you think I could get for my H23 swap??? Does a swap include the brakes, calipers and rotors?? Those could use changing too.
You are encouraged to share any of your ideas or thoughts.
Andy

Just giving my opinion here, but i think you have an aftermarket clutch. My clutch also has high pedal pressure and makes a rattling sound when i push it in and lightly press the accelerator starting off in 1st gear, but this is normal for an aftermarket clutch. I bought the car with a Moroso racing clutch on it and i was worried about the noises too until i read that aftermarket cerrametallic clutches make a rattling noise on low rpm start ups, and the high pedal pressure is also normal for aftermarket clutches. If your engine is running strong and you are on a very tight budget just get your timing belt replaced for your peace of mind and don't worry about the full swap.

Man, thanks for the reply. I was wondering if something was up because my clutch feels fine. It grips well but it is pretty difficult to push in.
Thanks for info. I will check into it.

P.S. You guys don't know how much I like this site. People are so helpful and nice here. Thanks guys.
