need help.....just swapped h22...probs.!!!!!

just finished swapping the h22 in my '92 S. I wired the three vtec wires and knock sensor......i didnt hook up the IAB wire..didnt know what that is or where to wire it from???? but anyway my check engine light is on......the vtec is def NOT kicking in.....and im getting fuel cut off at around 6,500rpms......wont let me rev any higher....i just put in the p13 ecu today...i dont understand....
As far as wiring up the vtec wires do i have to splice into them (piggyback) ...because i just cut the wires and soldered them to the wires on the harness....(does that matter?)......

any advice will be SUPER helpful....stuck and discouraged...
i want VTEC
thanx

it could be your ecu... i had that same problem after doing a swap and wiring up vtec. I opened up the ecu and it was all f'd up inside.
Check it out, its only like 5 screws.

21 Variable Valve Timing & Valve Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) Solenoid Valve .....i still have full cut off at 6500......will this code cause that????? or what could be causing it to NOT allow me to rev further....what is the full cutoff on h22(p13)..i know it has to be higher than 6500...they dont redline till 7200???????

I can vouch the ecu is good, it was running my car before I sent it to you....no problems. However if you come to the conclusion it is the problem I'll refund your money providing you send the ecu back...even though I can nearly gaurantee that it is not the ecu, aside from UPS ****ing it up possibly, the way it was packed though I still dont think so.
