Hello all =)
I am posting this because i was after the opinions and help of other prelude owners and what im asking has probably been done before and someone might be able to help me. So here comes my explanation....
...Basically i want to take out the tire and put a new flat base in over the wheele well but read on.
..
Well my issue is ive bought a sub and box (this isnt the issue) etc.. but the box is a few mm to high so therefore it doesnt fit.

(its a 92 Prelude) and what i want to do is remove the tire and all the thigns around it so the bought is that few inches deeper. Originally i thought i could get some 10 mm ply wood 120x90cm and cut it to the shape of the boot and chuck that in the floor and ta da! guess things arnt that simple.

ive cut the wood and all that havnt even looked up putting it in. I was just curious if anyone else had better ideas on what i could do? ways around or even a better idea?

cause i really want this sub installed and i dont want to go to a smaller box or sub and i could go with the deeper boot anyway but i dont want the massive well where the tire was previously but then again i dont just wanna fill that hole up with something that cant be removed cause if i ever want to go on a long journey i would like to put my spare tire back in.
Any suggestions or pictures email me at

and ill be checking this thread non stop to see if anyone has some ideas.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
